I'VE NEVER DONE YOGA BEFORE, CAN I COME TO A SESSION?

ABSOLUTELY! no experience is necessary for any of our sessions.

At yoga with Kierra we prides ourselves on offering sessions that specifically designed to suit the female body during pregnancy, for postnatal recovery or through the stages of menopause. Classic poses and movements are adapted as necessary to be safe for everyone attending, everything is clearly explained, and modifications are always offered.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING TO A SESSION?

The only things you must bring is yourself and a mat. Attendees are also encouraged to bring along a bottle of water to keep hydrated.

Optional extras:

You may like to bring along a blanket to help keep you warm and cosy during relaxation.

Yoga blocks or bricks may be useful to help provide more options and stability during sessions.

Yoga for the stages of menopause incorporates some strengthening movements so you may wish to bring a set of small hand weights (or a couple of tins of food!) and/or resistance bands.

WHEN CAN I START PREGNANCY YOGA?

Pregnancy yoga is suitable from 12 weeks pregnant, ideally following your 12 week scan.
You can practice yoga right up until you give birth if it feels good to you to do so.
